DanceConnect is a pro class initiative developed by Coalesce Dance Theatre in partnership with The University of Salford and previously supported by Arts Council England.
DanceConnect aims to provide Manchester based, professional dance artists with an affordable space to train, share and connect. These artist led sessions focus on delivering up to date, relevant technical training, alongside facilitating a creative space for people to meet and play. Sessions are delivered by Fern and Rachel from Coalesce Dance Theatre. Their collective practice focuses on a floor based contemporary style, with a movement quality that equally combines strength and fluidity. Their uniquely creative and highly energetic approach to delivering class also involves improvisation and task based play.
DanceConnect also welcomes Guest Artist teachers from across the UK to deliver sessions. Previous Guest Artists have included; Gemma Nixon, Company Chameleon, Josh Hawkins, James Wilton, Jamaal Burkmar and Gracefool Collective.
Coalesce Dance Theatre and DanceConnect are committed to a safe return to studio practices. Please view our COVID-19 Secure safety measures here. To request to see our full COVID-19 Secure risk assessment, email email@example.com and this will be made available.
