Coalesce are now recruiting for people aged 14 -21 to join our contemporary youth dance company from September 2025 - May 2026!

We will be hosting auditions for Coalesce Youth Dance's 2025-26 cohort on Saturday 5th July 2025 at the University of Salford (address below). 

​

This is an incredible opportunity to further your dance training in a creative and supportive space. CYD will provide the perfect platform to explore a career in dance.

​

Within this training programme you will not only be taught by professional dancers from Coalesce, there will be sessions led by external guest contemporary dance companies; such as Wired Aerial Theatre, Emergence Dace, Joss Arnott Dance, as well as staff from Dance@Salford. ​

​

There are 3 guaranteed performance opportunities per year at CYD's home base, The New Adelphi Theatre which seats 350 people. Coalesce will also apply to take CYD to external youth platforms throughout the year. Previous cohorts have performed at The Lowry Salford, Z-arts Manchester, Square Chapel, Halifax, and many more exciting venues throughout the North of England.

 

​Each year there will also be an intensive led by a nationally respected choreographer. In 2024, the intensive choreographer was Night People.
